Ontario Rabies Update for July 5 – 7 New Cases

7 new cases of raccoon strain rabies and 1 case of fox strain rabies from this past week.  The raccoon strain cases were confirmed in six raccoons (Halton [3], Hamilton [2] and Niagara [1]) and one skunk (Halton).  The fox strain rabies case was confirmed in a skunk from Waterloo Region.
